Many movies exist according to the viewers choice and viewers can select the movies that are preferred with Romance, horror, action, comedy etc.  The kind of move will give clue what kinds of persons are viewing the movie.  For example if the people like horror films obviously they like to be frightened.  The horror fans enjoy the suspense and anxiety.  Most of the people enjoy comedy movies. Some people enjoy with surgery on TV which contains blood things disturbing to others. But it is correct the persons who do not have problems watch the movies relating surgery on TV. The movies relate to the viewers feelings like laugher, sadness, terror etc.

During the early of 20th century, silent film genres were on the move by frequent movie watchers particularly by immigrants, working class or unemployed. At that time, the gross receipts were closed to 100 million dollars per year from the silent movies. The silent films understood by all but the middle class and upper class did not attend nickelodeons since they would not have been caught dead in such disreputable theatre. The silent films did not continue much period and replaced with the development of radio. The ideas of viewers changed and wanted to hear what the actors want to express.  Hence the film industry started production of talky films. But it is true that voiceless films were understood everywhere and in all languages. The themes of the silent movies were universal and common to all populations.

The movie studios produced three main categories of films during such silent picture era.  The categories were The western, slapstick comedy and romance were repeatedly used. The Western films were become more popular due to number factors. The factors include beautiful editing by Directors such John For and W.D.Griffith, movies indicates such places that were not that were not visited by the people and enjoyed to watch films, the central theme of film between good versus evil and with a climax linked with villain who terrorized town and shootout of the villain etc. The final attraction is climax for which the sheriff or good persons to shoot the villain who had terrorized the town. At that time the Westerns enjoyed and identify themselves.

With respect to the category of the comedy, the film producers concentrated on the everyday life circumstances to produce originality.  The movie, namely “The Kiss” was much evident the involvement of actor and great care about planting of lips on his costar’s cheek seems to be nearer to the originality. At that time the star of the comedy involved with a relation between man and nature. The comedy revolved around chase scenes for fighting of particular object. the comics performed by the actors targeted to amuse the audience with their facial expressions by physical and acrobatic nature for which the audience feels happy.
