The event was called Bridging the World to Austin, which was held in University of Texas in Austin. It was more of a series of events that brought the different cultures and music of the world towards Austin. The presentations were all aimed at showing how much diverse the said society is and how much forward the situations in the state were back then up until the present. The African American music presentation was actually presented at the fourth phase of the weeklong event. The special day that was dedicated to pure African American music was rather embraced by the audience so much as it actually noted the evolution of African American music from the first century blues towards the modern rap and RNB music.
Apparently, the evolution of the African American music mirrors a great impact on the actual development of the human society today. From the presentations performed by the musicians, the audience was given a clear depiction as to how the said music was able to create a fine depiction as to how slavery has actually given a chance for such wonderful music to spur out from the deepest sense of understanding of the African American race.
The appreciation of the sound that the musicians made was actually one of the most important part of listening to them play. Likely, the audience was able to relate themselves into the lyrics of the songs that had been presented. It could be observed that through the collaboration of rhythm and lyrics that had been created to make great music has actually made the presentation more appealing to the audience. It was more of a presentation of their history than just a presentation of the culture that accompanied the African American race throughout the years
During the show, the audience seemed rather directly interested in seeing how the performers actually tried to make a great introduction of their culture to the people of Texas. Of course, being primarily dominated by Western White Americans, Austin, although not new to the music has a great interest in learning what the African American music has to offer and how much involved the performers are in the culture that they are presenting to the people. Believably, it is through this presentation that the understanding of the Black American culture has been depended.
